教材简析:

本案例是牛津小学英语5A Unit4 A部分的教学设计,也是本单元第一课时的教学设计。本单元的核心内容是围绕西方的一个重要节日——万圣节晚会的准备工作展开的一段对话。通过本课的学习教师不仅要帮助学生掌握相关的语言知识,而且要让学生知道并了解万圣节的具体日期、由来、西方家庭如何过万圣节和过万圣节所需的物品,从而拓展学生的知识面,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,继而为终生学习英语打下良好的基础。

目标预设:

1.能听得懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词a family,thing,need,a horse.

2.能听得懂、会说、会读单词Halloween,tomorrow,mask,pumpkin, lantern,vase.

3.能听懂、会说、会读日常交际用语What do you need?We need some... What else do you need?... Please. Here′s your change. Do you like...Yes,I do./No,I don’t. I like... What do you like?I like...

4.让学生通过本课学习,了解万圣节的有关知识,培养学生跨文化交际的意识和能力。

重点、难点:

重点:1.让学生了解有关万圣节的知识,让学生能初步表演本课所学对话。

难点:1.句型Do you like masks?中可数名词复数的正确使用。

2.单词Halloween,tomorrow,pumpkin,lantern的正确朗读。

设计理念:

本节课的教学设计,根据新课标精神,以心理学、建构主义理论为指导,以学生为主体,教师为主导,使英语教学与信息技术相整合,利用多媒体手段进行教学,通过情景设计,以听听、说说、动动、唱唱、演演等活动,并在课堂中运用多种方法促使学生多说、多用,形成自主、探究性学习,致力于激发学生学习的兴趣和参与积极性及建立培养自信心上,使学生真正成为学习的主人,让学生在轻松、愉快的气氛中自然学得英语。

设计思路:

本节课通过师生自由交谈,复习四年级学过句型也是本节课的重要句型Do you like...Yes, I do./No,I don’t. I like...What do you like?I like...并引出单词vase的教学。在通过对西方重要节日Halloween的介绍中引出本课单词的学习,然后提出Halloween这么有意思,引出本课的句型教学What do you need?We need some... What else do you need?...,please. Here′s your change.学完后用所学内容编一个又能说又能唱的Chant,复习所学内容。

教学过程:

Step 1 Warm-up

Show my information card, let the students ask me some questions.

出示我的信息卡片:

Name: LiuWei

Hometown: Yangzhou

Favourite food: chocolate

Favourite colour: blue

Favourite sport: basketball

Hobbies: listen to music

(设计意图:学生对于新老师的好奇,让学生来提问题,不光会激发学生的兴趣,同时还会拉近师生之间的距离,锻炼学生提问的能力,促进学生的发散性思维。)

Step 2Play a game

T: I like listening music. I like playing games. Do you like playing games?

S: Yes.

The teacher shows the cartoon.

T: Let′s play a game. Trick or Treat. Choose one, please.

(设计意图:“Trick or treat”,这习俗却并非源自爱尔兰,而是始于公元九世纪的欧洲基督教会。见面时,打扮成鬼精灵模样的孩子们千篇一律地都要发出“不请吃就捣乱”的威胁,而主人自然不敢怠慢,连声说“请吃!请吃!”同时把糖果放进孩子们随身携带的大口袋里。 游戏的运用让学生感受万圣节的气氛,让学生真正地走进万圣节。)

Step 3Presentation

a. Learn “Halloween”

T: Do you know what game is about?(师出示Halloween单词卡)

Ss: (齐跟读,个别读)

b. Introduce the festival “Halloween”

T: Halloween is on 31st of October.(师介绍Halloween教pumpkin lantern, mask,horse)

Talk about Halloween.

T: Can you answer the questions?

Question 1: When is Halloween?

Question 2: What are the things about Halloween?

(设计意图:问题的提出是为了检验学生的听能和阅读理解的能力,从而判断出学生掌握情况,同时问题的出现也起着一个承上启下的作用。)

c. Learn pumpkin lantern, vase

T: Let′s go to a Halloween shop. What can you see in the shop?

课件出示东西,其中有三个物品是新学单词。

Ss:I can see...

T:Guess the three riddles.

It made in pumpkin lanterns.(pumpkin lantern)

We can put flowers in it. (vase)

We can put sweets and something else in it.

T:What are they in the shop?

Let the students answer the question.

d. Learn need, What(else)do you need?

T:We are going to a Halloween party. What do you need?

Read and sudy ‘need’, ‘What do you need?’

板书:What do you need?I/We need...

T:OK. What else do you need?

Read some times.

Ask and anser in pairs.

(设计意图:学生开始和小伙伴用一问一答的方式进行操练。小组合作的使用使学生更多地学会了合作,体验合作的重要性,同时也符合了当今小学英语教学的新型理念。)

Step 3Presentation and practice

T:Now I know you need many things for a Halloween party. Look,who are they?

S:This is Ben’s family.(Ben and his parents)

T:What date is the picture?

S:It′s the 30th of october. It’s Halloween tomorrow.

课件展示引言部分的图片和内容。

Let the students read by themselves. Listen and repeat.

T:Look at the pictures again. Let′s describe it. I′ll make the model first. Listen carefully,please. My children,give you one minute to prepare it and then I’ll call some of them to look and describe it.

S:找两名学生描述,然后集体描述一遍。

(设计意图:此部分教学是一种尝试,新旧交融,通过听的训练加以描述的练习,让学生从感知教材、认识教材上升到一定的深度:看图复述教材。)

T:What do they need?Let′s listen and tick.

同时播放课文的录音。让学生熟悉对话,通过听录音回答问题的方式来检验学生的听力水平,为更好地理解课文打下坚实的基础。

Check the answers. What do they need?They need… The students answer the question.

T:Boys and girls,look at the paper. It′s a shopping list.

Repeat the shopping list.

Look at the video about the text. Repeat the dialogue again.

Learn “Here is your change.”

T:How much are they?

S:Eighty-seven yuan.

T:How much is the change?

课件出示100-87=13

Read and study change.

Here is your change. Let the students read one by one.

(设计意图:通过算式计算让学生来体会 “change”的意思。正符合课程标准提出的让学生参与、体验学习英语的快乐。在乐中获取知识,在体会中获取经验。)

Step 4Look, listen, read and judge

T:Open your books and read together.

T:You are small teachers, and you can read first, I read after you.

学生们成为了小老师。一方面增强了他们的自信心,另一方面培养其听说能力。因为是学生先读,教师后读,学生通过听,把自己的读音和老师的进行比较,起到了很好的正音作用,实在是一举两得啊!

T:First, watch the cartoons of part A. Second, judge the sentences is true or false.

首先是观看A部分的卡通片,使学生对课文的整体有个了解,同时卡通片富有童趣,让学生喜欢去看。“知之者不如好之者,好之者不如乐之者”。其次,判断正误是检查学生对课文的理解程度,做到时时反馈,让老师和学生心里都有个数。Choose the students to judge and they must say why.说出错误的原因,更能说明学生的掌握情况。

T:Act the text three members in a group.通过小组合作和表演来锻炼学生的交际能力,让学生过一把“演员”瘾,培养学生的综合实力。分角色朗读课文,通过角色朗读来激发学生的积极性,让学生体验英语朗朗上口的感觉,培养其纯正的本土发音,从口语上加以突破。

Step 5 Make up new dialogues

T:Let′s have a party.

Work in groups and make up new dialogues. At last,guess what holiday it is?

(设计意图:让学生在习得语言的基础上,通过任务驱动学得语言,即在教师的引导下,以活动为中心,让学生通过做事情,通过思考、交流、体验,充分发挥自己的主体作用。)

Step 6 Homework

a.Listen to the tape and imitate.

b.Copy the four skills words and recite them.

c.Make a dialogue.

Buy things for a Halloween party.

Buy things for a birthday party.

Buy things for Women′s Day.

Buy things for Children′s Day.

Buy things for Teachers′ Day.
